Available in ", in your choice of MDF or Baltic birch.
MDF comes in 1/8" or 1/4" thickness. Baltic Birch is mostly cut in 1/4", with a few smaller sizes available in 1/8".
MDF (medium density fiberboard) is smooth, lightweight, and takes paint beautifully with no grain showing through. Seal it before any exposure to humidity or moisture — before or after painting is fine. Water exposure may cause it to swell.
Birch plywood is natural wood with visible grain, and it's the easier choice if you want to stain for a natural look. Plywood should also be sealed to protect against moisture and warping.
